RamDiskPlus create virtual disks from the servers system memory (RAM).Although in many respects a virtual disk behaves like a physical harddisk, in one key area it does not: it is much, much faster, up to 50xfaster or more. Like a physical disk, a RAM disk can be assigned a driveletter and contain a file system (including NTFS with compression).Applications can copy, move and delete files on it. It can be shared, soother computers can access it on a network. Additionally, it can bemount point to ease integration into application file paths.

RamDisksupports a single RAM disk with no backup capability. RamDisk Plus addsmultiple disk support, system page file support, and a versatile diskimage backup facility. Its patent-pending technology adds the ability tomanually save the RAM disks contents, or automatically save thecontents when the server is shutdown. This feature ensures that serviceand application data stored on the RAM disk can be preserved betweensystem restarts. During the subsequent system start-up, the disks imageis automatically loaded.
