Hirens Boot CD is a boot CD containing various diagnostic programs such as partitioning agents, system performance benchmarks, disk cloning and imaging tools, data recovery tools, MBR tools, BIOS tools, and many others for fixing various computer problems. It is a Bootable CD; thus, it can be useful even if the primary operating system cannot be booted. Hiren's Boot CD has an extensive list of software. Utilities with similar functionality on the CD are grouped together and seem redundant; however, they present choices through UI's differences and options in what they can do.

This Restored CD contains all the commercial utilities
omitted from the official HBCD releases since version 11.0

The large difference in size from the official release is mainly
due to the inclusion of SystemRescue CD (+150 Mb) and
Acronis True Image Home 2011 (+ 200Mb).
It will still fit in an 8cm (3 inch) mini DVD (1.4 Gb)
or a 1Gb USB stick.
The new Acronis suit is the best disk cloning/management
utility and SystemRescue CD is a lot better than the RIP linux
of the official release. See bellow.


If you wish to reduce the size, to fit a CD (< 700 MB),
extract the files from the .iso image
delete /HBCD/ac.iso and rebuild the .iso.
The Acronis ac.iso can be burned in a separate CD.

For intallation to USB read file usb-install.
