Reason is a music software program developed by Swedish software developers Propellerhead Software. It emulates a rack of hardware synthesizers, samplers, signal processors, sequencers and mixers, all of which can be freely interconnected in an arbitrary manner. Reason can be used either as a complete virtual music studio, or as a collection of virtual instruments to be played live or used with other sequencing software.
The buzz around the web about the next Reason release, version 5.0, is slowly increasing every day. Dan and other propellerheads regularly post updates on the crew pages about testing and milestones on the new product.

Computer Music today hinted a new product or version must be on its way:

"We don't have anything concrete beyond the fact that something is coming and that it really will be a major launch (ie, not just another posh ReFill), but with the company hosting five Producer Conferences around the globe on May 9th, we're expecting that to be the date upon which all interested eyes should be glued to teh internets."

Even searches on google for "reason 5" have been slowly increasing over the last 12 months.
