Jim McLean, one of the leading teachers of the game of golf, has created a series for the Golf channel which analyzes the golf swing of the greatest players. Jim uses video, interviews and a live demonstration to show the swing and mental approach of the greatest players of golf. He analyzes a different player in each episode.

He has studied the great players and uses this show to explain why these players excelled and what this can teach us. What can we learn and benefit from by analyzing these players. There is no "right way" to play the game. He shows how each of the players was unique in their swing and approach. What can we, the amateur golfer, learn from them and what can we incorporate into our own games.

Jim does an excellent job of showing the differences in swing types and philosophy. Great golfers often have almost exactly opposite fundamentals in parts of their swings. What works for one may not work for another. There are Swingers and Hitters. Upright & Flat. Fast & Slow. Each has its own characteristics and swing fundamentals. The only real important similarity is point of impact. If you get that right, how you get there is irrelevant.
